New Education Policy 2020 Integration of Coding in the Curriculum

Exposure to technology at a young age will help the youth lead the way to a new world of innovation and creativity. It will give children the opportunity to set their own goals and reach new heights of technology & digitalization. It will help students to enhance their analytical thinking from the schooling level. In the modern world of Robotics and AI, coding may be the new language spoken.

After 34 years the MHRD converted to the Ministry of Education, has introduced the New Education Policy (NEP) which introduced Coding in the School Curriculum from 6th standard onwards. An education reform like this will help push students to do some challenging tasks and can grow potentially. Exposing students to advanced technology at such an early age is a way of preparing them to adapt to the future. Coding inhibits curiosity. It forces students to ask, observe, think and record everything around them. Thus overall it gives them a chance to flourish and nourish their brains.

The secret of success for a student lies in the potential use of his capability. Coding helps to enrich the minds of the students with logical thinking. It enables children to enter the world of new-age technology. They can be involved in the interesting world of creating interactive apps & web. Pushing the kids to take up activities that charge their mind and dlso help them increase their interest and determination,can sprout many early age entrepreneurs. They learn to seek opportunity at every step and find innovative solutions to modern day problems.
